I traded the bike into my BMW dealer (Motorrad Central - Dalkeith) on 4th April 2014 with 13.035 miles on the odometer.  During the (just over) 21 months I owned the bike I used 1169 litres of fuel working out as a lifetime averaged fuel consumption of 49.6 m.p.g.  A great machine but I had rattled up too many miles for the IAM over the summer months of 2012 & 2013. Even making a point of not using the bike over the two winters, the mileage was all IAM other around 500 "pleasure" miles.  So, dropping the IAM "work" I felt it was time to wind back the clock to 2005 when I "retired" and start this second "retirement" with a new machine...
